Two removable rocket pouches (each 15 litres), these are compatible with the issued PLCE system or the seperately available Snugpak Yoke to make a handy 30 litre daysack. Heavily padded air permeable back system for comfort and back protection. Contoured heavily padded chest straps faced with textured high wicking fabrics. Zipped compartment on top and bottom. Bottom compartment also houses a roll-away waterproof cover.
Used hard regularly for past 6 years or so, taken a battering, all pu film lining in top main compartment peeled, few holes but ripstop works= put hole in years ago an it's not grown larger.
Pros: x2 sewn-in rain covers in base pocket stood up to major downpours. Light rainproof w'out using covers, lets less in than my miltec molle pack (similar material just thicker). Carried several stone in it on v.regular basis an structurally sound, mesh worn on back of straps but the load bearing bits & joins are fine + straps still stiff & stay spread with no dig in.
Cons: weight, belt is useless and high, base of my ribs (I'm 6'4"), fittings = plastic toggles + rain cover hooks + strap snap buckles not robust and crack v.easy. Cord on zips bit short an have plastic end cap which break easy (can DIY lanyards with 550 for few £). Water tube hole & pocket inside main compartment not very accessible, poor position of o-rings , lack of molle straps & webbing loops

Its okay and holds a lot, but its uncomfortable over long distances due too its short back length, when adjusted properly on the shoulders the waist belt is around my stomach and offers no load support, I'm 5'10''.

After all those years spent in the woods and mountains, I finally found the bag I was always looking for. There's a big lot of space to fill and it sits on my back comfortably like it belongs there. And it looks really ready to go for any adventure with me. Wonderful piece of kit, really! I wish I'd have two backs just for the pleasure of buying another one... :-)
