I was recommeded this torch as an alternative to sure fire, I have a graphics company that specialises in sports events such as the London Marathon, I needed to supply my staff with a powerful compact torch capable of illuminating small individual lamppost numbers at a distance and without my staff having to leave their vehicles at night.
