1515 knives are art of timeless beauty and clarity of
design, uncompromising functionality and
manufactured with great attention to detail. The
origin of the name dates back to 1515, the year
when the battle of Marignan was won by France's
King Francois the First. After his return from the
Italian campaign, the king lived some time in an old
inn. It is in this building today that Emmanuel
Laplace exercises his knife craft. Each of his
creations are unique and perfectly finished with his
signature on the spacer of every one.
The Blue Wings is a beautiful design featuring real
Jay feathers in the handle lacquer. The mirror-
polished blade is made of Swedish Sandvik 12C27
stainless steel which is known to have many
excellent qualities. It is supplied in a nylon zipped
pouch and with a certificate of authenticity
featuring its own unique serial number.
