Boker Plus Trance

Quality, tough and well made general purpose little framelock. Should out live me. The blade looks bead blasted to me. This model is made in Taiwan, which pleased me immensely! 10 out of 10 for this model.

I am very happy with this little knife (actually, it's much larger than I thought it would be - hard to believe it's carry legal in the UK!)

The first one had a nic in the steel at the rear but HH resupplied me with a new one no probs - the replacement, I just can't put it down! Solid as hell, excellent quality, sharp blade, looks fantastic - Boker are easily one of the top knife makers. Trouble is, I have now ordered the Boker Automat 101 and am thinking about the Titan Defender! Stop making such beautiful knives!

As for the Boker/CLB Trance; it's discreet, lightweight, beautifully constructed and absolutely top value. Razor sharp out the box and now that I've adjusted the pivot screw, very fast indeed.

But the first thing that stikes you about this little powerhouse is just how smoothe the operation of it is; easily a rival for mechanisms on far more expensive offerings. Combine that with the brilliantly modern CLB design and satisfaction is guaranteed!

For an EDC tactical-carry knife I've always favored large folders only. Not anymore. The Trance may be small in size but it's big-time in both its design and its cutting power. Consider: A beast of a blade design made of AUS-8 steel that's backed by a rock-solid framelock! The blade can be deployed quickly using the "flipper" and/or the dual thumb studs. Super-ergonomic handle design made of fiber-reinforced nylon and stainless steel. A truly superb "big" little knife, indeed.
