Boker`s annual Damascus knife for 2007 received the prestigious "2007 Best Imported Knife of the Year" at this year's Blade Show in Atlanta. This award motivated them to refine their successful Zirconia model. For the first time, they have taken on Mosaic Damascus. For this project, they were able to win over famous custom knifemaker, Ed Schempp. In his blacksmith shop in Washington State, he got the idea to forge a Boker Treebrand Mosaic Damascus. After endless and tedious forging processes, Ed forged Damascus steel plates with many small Boker trees, which are perfect for use as a handle inlay. The Treebrand Mosaic Damascus is made of 1084 carbon steel, with a nickel steel from Boehler, which harmonizes perfectly with the titanium handles. This 300-layer Damascus steel is hand forged by Markus Balbach and displays the "Great Roses" pattern. This collectors knife is serial numbered and strictly limited to just 500 pieces worldwide. It is supplied in a wooden presentation box with a certificate of authenticity.
