Brusletto dedicated this knife to Fridtjof Nansen, the 19th century Norwegian explorer and philanthropist. He was the first person to walk across Greenland in 1888 and was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1922 for his humanitarian achievements. The Nansen knife has a curly birch handle and engraved, polished blade, it is a classic Scandinavian design which would have accompanied Nansen on his polar expeditions. It is supplied with a leather sheath embossed with an image of Nansen himself.
