Policy For The Supply Of Blades

It is illegal to supply a knife to anyone under the age of 18. Heinnie Haynes actively checks the details of all orders for knives, and other edged items. Should we be unable to confirm your eligibility, you will be asked to provide proof of age in the form of a photocopy of you drivers licence or passport.

Just as Spyderco is associated with a spider, Byrd Knives resemble various species in the avian world. Byrd knive's newest offshoot is the Raven. The aluminum handle is both featherweight and feather textured for ultra-light, slip free cutting. This feathered pattern radiates bi-directionally outward from the handle's center giving purchase to the palm when using a forward or backward cutting motion. The non-reflective black coated blade has a centerline grind and stippling (crosshatching) where handle and blade connect for better grip and cutting manageability. Full-length steel handle liners complement the handle and a Michael Walker style LinerLock locks the blade open for secure and confident cutting. The comet shaped opening hole is a trademark of the byrd knife line and is synonymous with the stringent quality requirements, high performance materials and manufacturing they put into each individual knife.

When they say super ergonomics they mean it. This knife is has a perfect fit and feel. and a good steel in the blade means holding an edge is good to brilliant, the clip is a bit tight and the lock up is a bit too good, but wear and tear will bring them round. I can bunch up over the pivot and use close in which i normally have to modify a blade to do. For the price its as good as it gets. (somehow it reminds me of the Ka-Bar Wharthog) oh and its bigger than the photo does it credit...
