It is illegal to supply a knife to anyone under the age of 18. Heinnie Haynes actively checks the details of all orders for knives, and other edged items. Should we be unable to confirm your eligibility, you will be asked to provide proof of age in the form of a photocopy of you drivers licence or passport.
Say `A.G. Russell,` and you have to immediately say `first,` because this living legend was one of the inventors of the modern knife industry. But despite all his awards and achievements, A.G. is first of all a knifemaker.
The CRKT production Sting™, complete with a custom Cordura® /Zytel® sheath, is a multipurpose one-piece utility knife that is just about indestructible. Hot forging is the reason the Sting is so tough. It begins life as an ordinary blank of 1050 carbon steel, similar to the alloy used in traditional Samurai swords, which is first hot forged and then precision ground into final shape. CRKT apply a black non-reflective powder coat finish to resist corrosion.
The spear point blade features two Razor-Sharp cutting edges. The integral handle is contoured to fit the bare or gloved hand nicely and provides heft and balance, with thumb detents for grip. A large lanyard hole is provided, allowing the use of a wrist lanyard, or carry as a neck knife.
The Cordura® multi-carry sheath with a Zytel® liner allows the Sting to be carried in a variety of positions on trousers, belts or gear. Like A.G. Russell himself, the Sting is a tough character that has earned its respect.

Couldn't cut butter
Reviewed by Sean from Scotland
The knife arrived really blunt and couldn't cut anything, despite this I really like the knife, well made, looks good and the sheath is brilliant, been wearing it for a few hours now and it's easy to forget you've got it strapped on.

my EDC favourite
Reviewed by Steve Day from Northern England
My Sting was bought to replace my old Sting 1A that finally died after nearly 20 years of work. The new one does not have the wooden scales of the old one, but easily accepts a paracord wrap making it even more useful. Out of the box the blade was razor sharp and capable of trimming the hairs on my arm. I expect another 20 years of reliable service from this first class blade.

Infuriating.
Reviewed by Patrick Jebb from Dorset U.K.
Yet another example of an excellent blade design let down by a poorly thought out sheath/carry system. Why does my heart always sink when I see the words "multiple carry options"? Note to every knife designer out there, I CARRY MY KNIFE ON MY BELT OR IN MY POCKET, not upside down up my nose or under my big toenail. And why can't I get a knife with a from-the-box usable edge from CRKT? Everyone knows that a blunt knife is far more dangerous than a sharp one.

Nice, well balanced knife and carry system, but mine was seriously blunt when received. I would have given it a 5 star if it had come with an edge. Not too difficult to sharpen, but it should come ready to be used.

NOT "Razor Sharp"
Reviewed by Jack from England
Nice knife, nice sheath, but the edges are about as sharp as the corners of my kitchen table! CRKT could do with putting a bit more work into their quality control.

A lot of a Knife for a Little Money!!!

As the title says, this is a great knife for a little money, I love it and thanks to the very useful sheath I think it will become a permanent presence in my journeys.

AG Russel Sting

Small truley is beautiful in the case of "The Sting".A very usefull size blade razor sharp out of the box, very comfortable to hold and use and tough as they come. Great for us with big hands as it is brilliantly designed. The sheath is of the same quality, will attach to arm,leg or belt or indeed your rucksack etc,its all done with velcro, the fit of knife into sheath is as secure as any on the market so carry it with confidence.(I may have another one, at under £30 plus p+p it is a true bargin.
