Policy For The Supply Of Blades

It is illegal to supply a knife to anyone under the age of 18. Heinnie Haynes actively checks the details of all orders for knives, and other edged items. Should we be unable to confirm your eligibility, you will be asked to provide proof of age in the form of a photocopy of you drivers licence or passport.

Sometimes your life depends on the tools you select, tools such as your pitons, ice axe, crampons and knife. Because climbers regard reaching the summits of the 14,000 ft. North American peaks as the pinnacle of achievement, Columbia River named this popular line the 14K Summit™ series.

Columbia River began with a powerful InterFrame locking liner construction with nickel chrome plated zinc alloy scales. featuring an aircraft-style drilled “skeleton” design. Weight is reduced without compromising the exceptional strength. The dual liners are 420J2 stainless steel. Handles are designed with an extended guard and bead-blast finish to give you extra gripping power. Friction grooves at the lock and on the blade spine improve grip in wet and icy conditions.

The high-carbon, 420J2 stainless steel blade features a rugged modified drop point shape and bead-blast finish. Blade grinds are engineered to retain maximum thickness at the tip and through the length of the spine. This blade is built for real work. Triple-Point™ Serrations are available on all sizes.

Integrated into the design is the patented* LAWKS® safety, which effectively converts your folder into a virtual fixed blade when the lever is slid forward, very reassuring when you are using your knife for difficult and tiring tasks.

Not a Mountain Knife!
Reviewed by Count of Undolpho from Leeds

Very Robust but no way a climbers knife, no lanyard hole so it can't be secured to you/gear/rope. Virtually no friction on this! A bit on the Lock for the fore finger, then some on the back of the blade - gloves? cold wet hands?
As I said rock solid with good blade geometry if you need to cut rope get the serrated as this is never going to be a razor!
