Fällkniven F1 Survival Knife

Policy For The Supply Of Blades

It is illegal to supply a knife to anyone under the age of 18. Heinnie Haynes actively checks the details of all orders for knives, and other edged items. Should we be unable to confirm your eligibility, you will be asked to provide proof of age in the form of a photocopy of you drivers licence or passport.

It took eight years to develop the Fallkniven F1 Survival Knife, which today is in service as a survival knife with the Swedish armed forces. The model F1 is a useful size that will fit in any hand, and as an all round knife it is without equal. The safe, comfortable suregrip Thermorun handle, together with an extremely hard and resilient special steel, means that the knife can be used for all kinds of normal - but also demanding - work. For its size, it has yet to be bettered!

The Fallkniven F1 Survival knife is available in an all-black design, with the blade coated in Teflon. In addition to reducing the risk of unwanted reflections, the Teflon coating gives further protection against corrosion. If the knife is to be used in salt water environments, we recommend the Teflon coating.

You may choose between two types of leather sheath - a fully enclosed sheath which securely accommodates the knife on the belt, or a tough reinforced plastic Zytel sheath.

Great Design
Reviewed by Andy from Wiltshire

I bought an F1 years ago but it's edge design was difficult to sharpen. I'm pleased to see they've re-designed this knife and it's now a firm favourite. It has the perfect weight and balance for most survival tasks. It's long enough for whittling down a board, while still being small enough for more intricate carving. It's thick enough to cope with splitting logs and or even light chopping work. It feels perfectly balanced in the hand. In short: a great design.

A classic. Worth every penny

Quality of fit & finish is stunning. Great value, significant upgrade from e.g. Frost Mora. Sharpest out of the box of any I own (MOD, Spyderco, Emerson, Benchmade). Great balance (biased to handle) & grip. Full tang construction feels bombproof. Only but: Zytel & full leather sheath not ambidextrous. You won't be disappointed. One to keep forever.

Simply the best

I've been using knives now for over 40 years and in that time I've used just about everthing worth using, roaming the woods and moors as a boy, as a soldier and in later life as a fisherman and hunter. I've have knives from woodlore and survival experts from all around the world and I'll tell you this If I had to rely on only one knife for my needs it would without doubt be the F1. Its compact, strong and sharp, completely dependable, you can trust your life to it.

Highly Recomended F1

Initially bought this as a back up knife for my S1, but it is easily good enough as a main knife, exellent blade profile, natural feeling handle with confident grip, wouldn't venture out without it now, it really is a well thought out knife, if you only buy one knife, and may have to rely on it someday, you will not go wrong with the F1.

The F1 takes a good edge , this is one tough knife. Big enough for the heavy duty in the woods , and small enough for those firesticks.

F1

Excellent tool. Thick strong blade, sharp as you like. Good cutting foliage, rope, and preparing food. Also sparks unbelievably well using a fire steel, lighting all tinders including disposable BBQs. Also very light with solid sheath. Only improvement could be a sheath that mounts more flexibly like the old kydex sheaths, the zytel one has to slide on to a belt.
