This folding knife is a bit special. It combines modern steel technology with a hundred year old, folding knife design. The U1 is non-locking and is therefore regarded as legal carry in the UK. The blade is held in place with a springsteel key, a technique which has been in use for more than 100 years and which ensures that the blade does not fold during use. It is made of laminate powder steel, Fallknivens famous 3G-steel, which guarantees edge retention beyond the ordinary. The handle is made from stainless liners with new scale material ocean blue, or ochre yellow, smooth bone. It is delivered with a slimfit black cordura sheath. With nail-nicks in both sides of the blade back, the knife is completely symmetrical and is as easily handled by both left-handed and right-handed users.
