The Karambit is a functional knife first introduced in the Indonesian archipelago. However, some believe that this unique design originated in Malaysia or the Philippines. It was originally designed to be a working folding knife and dates back to the 6th century. It arrived in the United States at the end of the 1800s and in Europe during the 1970s for use in certain martial arts disciplines. It uses a 440C stainless steel, tiger striped blade with a rubber coated T6 6061 aluminium handle. It has a pocket clip that can be reversed for left or right hand opening.
