If this knife was put forward with all the hype of a Cold Steel, the price tag would be several times what it is! What a change to get something which is truly excellent value for money! Superb steel, practical handle and sheath, a true gem amongst practical knives. Leave the fancy gear in the case, and use this every day!

Five stars Despite mine came with not so sharp edge too! Sharpening is part of love to knives:)! Working cheap horse. Keeps edge for long time. Light knife with good handle, not perfectly ergonomic. After long time chop and cutting with hand you need a little rest but it's possible due of small size of the knife!? May be one of the legends of knives for 21st century.

Ignore the-man-in-pub brigade types who say this knife is limited by not having a "full" i.e. visible) tang: the 2000's tang is massive and runs almost the entire length of the handle, which is all that matters. People use these knives hard and broken tangs are unheard of.

great knife

Fantastic knife, I chose this over my mora clipper as the sheath is more secure so the knife is not going to fall out the knife itself didn't dissapoint either, really solid razor sharp I recon it will hold an edge too and great value for money.

5 stars for light to moderate usage especially considering it's price.
For something you would bet your life on (i.e. if you wanted a 'survival' knife or are going well off the beaten track) I'd want something a bit sturdier with a full tang however.
Other than that this performs admirably on 95% of tasks you'd expect from a general duties camping/hunting/back-country knife.
At this price worth getting one just to see for yourself!

For the price this knife is excellent. Razor sharp, easy to keep that way with excellent edge retention. . The Scandi grind and relative thin blade make it superb for carving feather sticks. I've batoned logs for fire wood and I couldn't break it. Skins bunnies well too. Handle one of the most comfortable I have in my collection. Easy Cleaned for hunters.

This little fixed blade is well known and respected all around the world. The only grumble I've heard of, is about the leather belt loop. It will rot in the wet. Check out Cutlerylover at youtube.com for a video review.

The M2000 has one if the stongest tang-config's of the KJE/Mora-knives. The blade steel is 12c27M (not carbonsteel) and is tough/"takes a good edge". I would say that the handle is made in polypropylene which makes strong handles. Thickness: 2.5mm but the blade is thinner the last 1/3 before the tip - about 1mm at thinnest. Realy good for push cutting and good for bushcraft. The handle will fit most hands. Mine came shaving sharp out of the box.

I was in Helsinki when this beauty caught my eye, sunlight glinting off of its intriguing shanks. As sharp as broken ice on the first day of winter. Green handle, soft as moss, with a grip like quicksand. Functional and beautiful. A neglected classic.
