The Prometheus brand was created in 1992 and named after the Greek God of Fire, Prometheus. The Intruder is an imaginatively designed lighter with the Jet Turbo, wind resistant flame. Ideal for severe weather conditions it will withstand a 70-80mph wind and be the talk of the campsite! Jet Turbo lighters use a catalyzer coil, which is made out of white gold and installed on top of the internal burner cylinder. This catalyzer coil heats up quickly and retains the heat from the flame for a long time. Even though the wind blows out the flame, the flame will be re-ignited as the butane gas coming up from the gas tank comes in contact with the heated catalyzer coil.
