The third in the Dialogue series is designed by Switzerland’s Franco Clivio, who with the new LAMY dialog 3 has created a fountain pen that is unique in the best sense of the word. Franco Clivio has gained an excellent international reputation with his utility-oriented designs reduced to a few basic shapes. The winner of many awards, Clivio has already convincingly demonstrated his preference for brilliantly simple solutions at the highest technical level with the LAMY pico. And anyone who has had this original pocket pen in their hand will not be surprised that the new LAMY dialog 3 also takes the state of the art for writing instruments a beautiful step further.
The LAMY dialog 3 is an exquisite twist-action fountain pen with a palladium finish, whose rhodanized two-colour 14-carat gold nib retracts at the turn of a hand. A precisely closing ball valve protects the nib from dirt and drying out. As a result, the unconventional writing instrument does not need a cap, and therefore stands out with exceptional aesthetic appeal and particularly high writing comfort.
A further technical highlight is the shiny chrome clip, which is raised or retracted by the twist action – a Lamy world patent. When the nib is advanced, the clip lowers into the pen body, and therefore does not get in the way when writing. When the nib is retracted, the clip lifts out again, ready to function. It is supplied in an attractive case made of contrasting beech in black-brown varnish.
