Porsche Design’s Mikado line made of polished stainless steel turns the rotational principle inside out. The shaft of these writing implements is made up of 17 polished stainless steel rods. The point is extended or retracted by twisting the shaft. The stainless steel stems then rotate around the shaft, stretch, and taper in the middle as the point clicks into place.
