Smith and Wesson Military and Police Pen

Not happy with this product as the method of attaching the cap to the pen is frail, broke and now unable to retain the pen. The pen is thus impractical now. The plastic should have been better quality or a screw operation would have been better.

I've been using this pen daily for a few weeks now and feel it is time to give a balanced view.
It's extremely well made with a nice wright to it. I replaced the original ink with a fisher space refil and it writes really well.
The clip is nice and tight but clings to my top pocket like a limpet.
Others have mentioned the plastic cap insert and have stated that it's a bit cheap. I can't see any fault with this cap retainer yet but maybe time will tell?
If you intend to use this as a self defence item you will be seriously impressed. The knurled grip is great and the point is sturdy enough to put a big dent in anything it happens to bump into.
I work on the road and having this in my pocket gives me confidence in the rough areas I have to work and I'm totally legal carrying it.
It's a winner in my eyes.

Initially impressed with the quality but after removing the cap, IMHO the naff plastic insert that retains it really lets this pen down.
A little extra machining to thread the cap would probably have cost less.

Good, solid build quality. Been carrying this for roughly a month and its taken a beating and still looks relatively unused. Pocket clip is sturdy and I have found no trouble with the plastic insert in the lid. Comes with a good refill, but I swapped out for a space pen cartridge as a matter of preference.

This is my second "Tactical Pen", the first being the UZI pen also available from HH. Build quality seems superior. The S&W's clip off top makes it more user friendly, no need to twist the tip to deploy the pen. Only 1/4 inch longer than an average pilot pen so sits in the pocket well. Also a good looking pen.

The knurled grip on this pen is handy for a non slip feel during prolonged use.
And the lazer etched logo on the cap,& S&W name on the clip will let others know what pen your sporting, I tried the pen as soon as it came & it's actually a nice quality writer it will look nice next to my two Cross pens but have a special place inside my Maxpedition E.D.C. pocket organizer, will certainly buy the S&W tactical pen.

Another winner from s&w very nice pen it is longer than mk1 pen. How long the plastic insert lasts that makes it click on and off we'll see, writes very smoothly has lanyard hole in top, not quite 5 stars I prefer screw on top but for the money top notch very crisp machining and nice grip when writing recommended zmf.
