Smith and Wesson Pens: Firestarter Pen

It takes some effort to get the striker to actually produce a spark, but it does work - hold the lid at a right angle to the flint, with two of the "threaded" parts contacting. Basically you are using the end of the threads to strike. Mine wouldn't spark until most of the coating was off the flint.

The pen seems OK to me, quite heavy but that's fine. I've not broken any glass with it yet!

Utter rubbish, pen refill very dubious not a smooth writer and utterly useless now since I dropped it, fire starter is pretty pants too, much prefered the Uzi one I had even though it had its faults far superior pen but not thief proof, by no way should this reflect on HH who were as always outstanding.

Disappointing refill, very hard to write and not as smooth as the other refill I had in another S & W tactical pen I bought last year. I haven't tried the firestarter kit yet.
