"Taifun" - this is how Elly Beinhorn - female aviator of the 30's - named her favorite Messerschmitt Me 108. From 1934 on, this plane was used for round-trips all over Europe as well as for pioneering flights like the long-distance world record from Rio to New York in 1938 or the altitude record in 1939.
