dedicated this knife to Fridtjof Nansen, the 19th century Norwegian explorer
and philanthropist. He was the first person to walk across Greenland in
1888 and was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1922 for his humanitarian
achievements. The Nasen knife has a curly birch handle and engraved, polished
blade, it is a classic Scandinavian design which would have accompanied
Nansen on his polar expeditions. It is supplied with a leather sheath
embossed with an image of Nansen himself.
