The folding knives in the Tre Kronor series are lightweight, safe and beautiful. The new edge steel, 3G, is a revolutionary laminated anticorrosive steel, with a core comprising the well-proven powder steel Super Gold Powder Steel (SGPS) and sides of VG2. The beautiful enduring design is the result of a long refinement process focusing on the functional concept of the folding knife. TK3 is a secure, solid folding knife, whose blade, in our new 3G steel, represents the best on the market today. The blade locks in its open position with a well-proven locking mechanism. Every folding knife is manufactured by hand, which should and does mean small variations. Many different versions of this model are planned for the future: see our web site for more information.

TK4 is a workhorse with clean lines that combines lightness with strength. The slim handle in rigid composite material is both lightweight and strong, and completely resistant to corrosion and solvents. With nail nicks in both sides of the blade, the knife is completely symmetrical and as easy to handle for both left-handed and right-handed users. The well-proven locking mechanism fixes the blade securely in its open position.

Very Solid Pocket Knife for Outdoors

Posted by Kevin on 16th Nov 2018

Ive had this knife just under a year now and used camping, and as a backup to my bushcraft fixed blade. This knife is solid, sharp and has performed very well. Only niggle I have is that the primary edge wasnt even and with the steel been very hard took some time on the Sharp Maker to get the edge bevel where I needed it. Other than that, highly recommended and for me on par with Spyderco but with a more traditional look. Kev

Firstly... outstanding service from Heinnie. Honest and reliable. Received TK4 today it's a lovely little folder extremely sharp out the box. I'm looking forward to using it whilst out hunting and mooching about. Many thanks Mike

    Very impressed

Having purchased numerous knives over the years, many good lookers but poor blades, the TK4 has an excellent blade, holds a very good edge, good lock & the simple lightweight composite handle is very practical. Excellent service from H & H.

    Ridiculously sharp

Posted by Joshua Rood on 10th May 2016

Since I was looking for a gentleman's knife, with better edge retention than my Spyderco Sage S30V, I fell for this little knife. And yes, it's quite small. It weighs half of the Sage and is just about as long. I can't say anything about edge retention yet but it's so crazy sharp, they actually delivered the knife with three 'Fallkniven' bandaids. I already used two of those. Just saying. Downside for me is that with my clumsiness I dropped it already on the tiles outside which damaged the hard edge a little bit. Hardly visible but still a downer. Seems like I had to get used to a knife so lightweight. All in all it's a great looking knife that seems to meet my needs in a handy pocketknife.

    Excellent workhorse

I've had a couple of these TK4s; the second after losing the first. The blade is a very nice shape and the steel is exceptionally hard and holds a very fine edge. It's worth noting this is not the easiest steel to sharpen because of it's hardness so don't abuse it but use the knife and it will stay sharp for a long time. The plastic scales are actually a composite (nylon/glass) that makes then tough but light. They also offer a very good grip. Some have commented that they make the knife (too) light. But I think that this is its key feature. The knife is so light and slim that it's near weightless in a pocket. So it's a very high performing, understated and light pocket knife. If you want a heavier 'looker' then there is the TK3! Lock is good and I see no flex between handle and knife - at least without applying more sideways force than it will ever get in practice without abusing it - get a pry if you want to use it like that. Only disadvantage is the lock; so it's not legal in UK as a general pocket knife - you need a reason to have it on your person.

    Super impressed

Super light and solid knife, blade is superb and as you expect from fallkniven quality is peerfect. This will go in one of my grab bags so if TSHTF I can a reliable tool I can call upon. Cheers HH for a 48 hr turnaround. Keep it up Tony

    Poor for the price

Posted by Singinghound on 7th Jul 2015

Beautiful balde and locking mechanism let down by very plasticky handle: I had expected a metal skeleton running through the body, but nope, it's just plastic. The open knife just doesn't feel comfortable in the hand, with the handle far too light and insubstantial. Really surprising for such a renowned maker and annoying that it comes with such a price tag

    Fallkniver TK4

Super little knife with great steel. Handles are a little plastic looking but still a good performer for the money. Lock up is also quite good but not perfect. At the end of the day you only get what you pay for. Decent knife.
