IDL Tools: T10 |

I've had 3 of these (losing each one), and looking forward to my 4th.
They're strong, neatly designed, and small enough to carry around conveniently. I find Leathermans less functional and more awkwardly shaped.
As to all the comments about the stiff locking mechanism - someone said they indented their fingers on the catch trying to fold the tool. What you're supposed to do instead is partially open another tool so that you open the lock, and then close both tools together. Easy.
I had one of these for some time. The tool does what it's supposed to and is strong and well made. The problem is the 'mechanism' for attaching it to a key ring. It doesn't work! I lost it twice and friendly colleagues returned it to me. The the third time... GONE.

Small, nicely made, cheap and with locking blades. The only caveat is that the tools are fiddly for adult sized fingers as are the locking mechanism. I nearly sorted that problem out by having the knife blade overcome it's lock and almost cut my finger off... So don't put more pressure on this tool than you have to.
