I purchased this bag for my daysack while traveling over the last 2 months in Aus, Fiji and Nz backpacking, having the Sitka was perfect for hand luggage on flights while also complementing my pack perfectly, the Camelbak compartment was perfect for storage of documents ie passport & flight information while the main compartment easily held my DSLR, combined with the ability to swing the bag onto your front made it ideal for shooting pictures while being able to discreetly travel with my camera gear.
The construction of the bag is 2nd to none and with a few mild showers the inside of the bag remained dry. An awesome EDC bag and well worth the money !

Once again excellent service from hh team! Got this pack as an alternative for when my camelbak talon is too big, same great quality as you would expect from maxpedition! All in all I feel this pack will work well and great for all those edc essentials.

Parent bag.

I use this as my EDC, and it's packed with everything to keep 3 small kids fed, watered, safe and happy. Again, keep the weight down and it's very comfortable. The only gripe I have is that the chest strap is too small for the larger gentleman (about a 47" chest, or more), but tucked out of the way, I never use it and don't notice it. An excellent man bag and EDC.

Sitka black

Brand new these bags must have taken a deep breath, once opened stuff your hands inside & fill out the corners & spaces, sitka is designed for horizontal use when you swivel it to your front, now notice how the compartments are ppintin up.so when you pack with gear or documents with Sitka upright, put it in sideways so it's not all pointing east when you venture through it, just remember to screw the cap on ya water bottle tight if you use the flask compartment.

Absolutely great for EDC

But dont get it too heavy, or it will be unpleasant to carry. For small hikes or everyday bag, getting in and out of buses and trains, biking its REALLY nice to be able to sling it around and get to your stuff or sit down and not having to take it of. Great while on a bike too.
The small EDC pouch fits great in the larger front pocket.

The Maxpedition Sitka, is a what you can call a suprise pakket. It's tough and very useful. You can use it in all kind of situations, and his bigger brother is also a good purchase with more capabilities.
