Victorinox Evowood 14

Have just added the Victorinox Evowood 14 to my small collection of Swiss Army knives, and this has quickly become my firm favourite. The wooden handle not only makes it a most attractive knife but definitely adds to a more secure grip in the hand. The major plus, however, is the significant upgrade of the scissors over earlier models - the rather flimsy spring which was easily detached has been replaced by a more substantial bar to open the scissors; a great improvement and one which results in a knife I'm glad to recommend.

Very nice pocket knife

A very useful pocket knife. Handy tools but not too many , keeping the handle slim and not too bulky for the pocket. Smaller than the spartan. The blade shape is slightly different from usual victorinox, owes this to its wenger heritage. The wooden scales make this very tactile. I tried putting a mini screwdriver on the corkscrew but somehow it looked out of place. Well made with no imperfections. Thoroughly recommended

Excellent edc pocket knife

I've had this knife for a couple of years now and almost can't fault it. The blade is excellent, and holds a good edge. The scissors and the other tools are very good too and having wooden scales both feels and looks a lot nicer than your standard Swiss Army knife. Being a SAK with wood scales, if it is ever taken out in public or found in a security or police search, it looks like your innocent pen knife and doesn't attract negative attention. Basically, you know what you're getting with a victorinox SAK so if you want one, I'd highly recommend this one. The only downside to this knife is, unlike many standard SAKs, I guess because the scales are wood instead of moulded plastic, there's no tweezers or tooth pick. Otherwise this is a very, very nice edc knife.
