    1. Versatile backpackReview by
I've used this bag for carrying radio gear up a mountain, hiking,,wild camping, a camera bag (with insert) and a general travel bag that i chuck in the back of the vehicle when visiting relatives. One word. "versatile". I've had it many years and the bag is holding up well, a zip failed on one of the internal mesh pockets, but that's about it. I think it's the bag i would use for bugging out or INCH if it ever came to that.... (Posted on )
    2. Tough, reliable, versatile Review by
Don’t be mistaken, this is a big and heavy bag, I took only this bag for three weeks in Australia and was more than enough. The heavy duty construction of it meant it could take a beating, it’s comfy and secure to wear over long periods, and all the molle webbing means you can build upon and adapt to your needs. The only thing I would like is webbing on the sides. (Posted on )
    3. Ignore the bad reviews, they're idiots.Review by
I purchased this bag from Heinnie for a specialist role in Afghanistan in 2011. It is up to the task of carrying awkward, very heavy loads and will not let you down. It is still as new, and the stitching is stilll like new, showing no signs at all of the heavy heavy use I put it to. I have carried 60kilo+ loads with it and it is still perfect.

The main compartment is huge, with dedicated space for a camelbak and smaller netted pockets to reduce migration of smaller equipement. The front section is great for laptops, body bags, forensic equipment. In between the two is an area to secure bulky items, or dirty items that you don't really want messing up the interior of the bag.

The straps and hip belt fit perfectly over armour (probably dsigned that way). It is designed with heavy military use in mind, and is clearly not a civilian hiking bag (why on earth go hiking with a bag this heavy?!). These bags, as indeed most bags, are not designed to be weather resistant, but it is easy to get a rucksack cover. Even better, buy some waterproof bags and stow your kit properly.

It might be heavy, but when you need to carry something weighing as much as your girlfriend, good luck with a gossamer light hiking bag.

    4. A little disappointed Review by
I bought this bag to take abroad on a hiking trip. I chose it based on the fact that I love the Rush 24 so much. In all honestly though this is a bit on the disappointing side. It's a big bag and you won't have any problems fitting everything in. But, all that space makes it easy to keep throwing stuff in and it gets heavy quickly. The bag is made from 1000D nylon, this makes it pretty indestructible but it's not really necessary. The bag is too heavy empty because of this. 500D would be much more suitable. Ultimately due to the fully loaded weight of the bag, and me not needing all my camp gear all the time I ended up using it as a base bag and used a smaller bag for my day hikes. The bag has hip pads but they're a bit of a waste of time, they're very thin and don't offer a lot of support. I'll keep using the bag with different packing variations and trips and hopefully my opinion will change. At the moment though I'd say stick to the Rush 24 (Posted on )
    5. Good carry vessel Review by
      Pleasant birthday gift I recieved

This is a cracking bag, endless options to attach axes, bottles sleeping mats etc, great amount of storage compartments, it is a comfortable bag without a doubt, however should you load this bag top heavy and not correctly setup the belt and shoulder straps it can quickly become apparent of your load! Take the time to find your setting and think before loading before your hike...

All that being said it just oozes quality and never goes unnoticed by colleagues or friends.

Received on time thanks to HH great service as always

    6. Heavy but comfortableReview by
This pack is heavy in the arms (even when empty) but sits very well on the back - spreading weight across the shoulders nicely. I've spent several days in a row trekking with this bag (very full) and didn't chafe or rub at all. Other reviewers' complaints regarding design and water resistance seem to have been dealt with and this bag feels tough as nails. Plenty of organisation space so everything has its own place in the pack.
The hydration system works well except that the hose must go through the main pouch of the bag, which I don't like.
My only other issue, as with my other 5.11 bags, is that it's easy to over-fill. I feel like the bag can handle it, but my back can't!

    7. Outstanding!Review by
Sometimes the PLCE bergen is just too big. Sometimes camo gear is inappropriate.

The 5.11 Rush 72 is the perfect alternative. Big enough to carry what you need and small enough that you will think carefully about what you actually do need to take with you.

With careful thinking, you easily can load this pack with everything you need for at least a week, let alone 72 hours.

Great way to organize the gear you regularly carry, too. Once you load it out and memorize where things are, getting to something you need in a hurry is a real joy.

I highly recommend the 5.11 Rush 72. Can't fault the service from Heinnie Haynes either. Completely hassle-free.

    8. A Tardis of a bag. Excellent customer service.Review by
Upgrading my hiking / MTB bag I need something a little bigger and robust. Amazing customer service, I wish more retailers had Heinnie's helpful staff. (Posted on )
    9. Nice design, loads…Review by
Nice design, loads of pockets, great build quality. If your somewhere dry it's a nice bag but it is not waterproof at all, 2 hours of UK rain and it was soaked though to all compartments, and it's taken 2 days by a radiator to dry out. If you check it out zips are not shielded for rain and while the material is like other mil spec rucksacks it's not the same. Looks nice loads of pockets but only if you are somewhere dry. 10. Great Big BagReview by
This is a big bag, and is a bit long for my 176cm height, but not uncomfortably so, I've tabbed in it and it supports 30kg+ well. The main compartment fits a Snugpak sleeping bag, bivy tent, food, etc, and has lots of organiser pouches. Holds a 2L water bladder and has two ports for the hose. There is a little slot at the top for your phone or shades, and a small zip pouch for keys, spoon, gps, etc. The side pouches are a bit wee but have slots which carry two 30-round mags each handily. The smaller compartment (the "admin compartment") is brilliant for all your paperwork (or passports etc). The space in between is good for holding a helmet, or a rollmat, or wet gear, whatever. The waist belt stows into little slots, and you can tuck the shoulder straps (imperfectly but good enough) if you want to check the bag. Calling this rugged, handy bag a "72 hour" bag is a good description for something bigger than a day bag but smaller than an expedition rucksack. I really like it. (Posted on )
    11. Good bag bit…Review by
Good bag bit gutted it was old bag design (no molle straps on bottom for tent or sleeping bag and waste of molle where 5.11 badge is)but never mind like others have said it's way bigger than you think it's huge. I can fit a weeks worth of gear in it for fun my thought is if you think you need this bag go for the rush 24 bag I am. (Posted on )
    12. it's really great!Review by
This backpack can hold loads of things! I'm a student for now, I can put my ALIENWARE M17X laptop in it and 5 days clothes!!
What an amazing bag it is!!
Also, the price is much lower than other sellers that you can find through Google. 5 star recommend! Oh, BTW, one of my friends wanted to snatch it when I just opened the parcel...LOL...
Thanks again for what HEINNIE did!

    13. AWESOME!Review by
Even though this bag looks like it can hold loads, it can actually hold even more! I bought the Rush 72 and the MOAB 6 and combined I get fit all my gear, plus a 3 man Vango tent. I've added a few 5.11 pouches too which means you can set it up for pretty much any situation. Awesome gear from 5.11. I will never use a different pack again!! (Posted on )
