    ARTHUR WRIGHT CLIP POINT WOOD

Posted by Ian on 29th Dec 2022

The bad - Small chip of wood missing around one pin. Scuffs to spring and bolster. Cover and bolster slightly thicker on one side than the other. Blade a little off-centre. Meh - No Arthur Wright stamp. 'Childproof ' levels of pull. The good - Smooth transitions throughout. No, repeat, no gapping. Cutting edge is fairly even, albeit fairly toothy. It's well put together. Will I be sending it back? Nope.

    Throwback value

As traditional as a Sunday Roast. Finish could be better but the blade is lovely and the scales are the very opposite of 'modern' or 'tactical'. A great daily cutter or first Barlow- and everyone needs a Barlow;-)

Hey , Fancy nice pocket legal folder lurchermen, this one shall be capable of completing all your tasks even a fisherman cant go wrong here A Wright just happen to have have a few guys that served there apprentice ship as a cutler with A Wright and managed to master the knack of knocking up quality knives if you don't know much about knives don't buy go and buy a rough rider witch may look better and also perform as well but will only last half the time of this one

HELLO A Wright knives have had a lot of bad reviews in the past whereas at present they are batching out well made pocket folders like they did 20 year plus ago . I think at present they must have a few good cutlers who have the knowledge and skill to master these knives to perfection so if buying one look for the ones that have been selling the most hope you get a nice pocket folder you may have to sharpen it up properly but be honest don't expect these guys to send out razor blades i
