    Powder metal loveliness

Great knife, really good but terrible - like really bad - sheath hence drops a star. Knife like HH is 5 stars. Fortunately had a spare sheath. Rubber handle is softer than Fallknivens but not as soft as Coldsteel. So will last well and not tear your hands. Really impressed with knife, good size for edc and small journeys.

Modern take on an old design.

I have owned the knife for about a year now, I dont like making a hasty review and I have to say im rather impressed with it. First impressions were nice knife shame about the sheath with no secondary retention I worried it would fall out easy. As I would learn later on its not a problem, just crush the sheath without the knife in it. The plastic bit inside will just deform and the retention is miles better. Would still like something else to hold it there and maybe a second press stud on the dangler loop but its not that big a deal just put the press stud behind your belt and its not pulled on me yet. The handle hasn't smoothed out, discoloured or damaged some other way yet although im always careful with it as im not even sure if I can replace it. Its still good when wet which is always nice. I cannot express how impressed I an with the steel its done everything ive asked of it (and some stuff I really shouldn't have). The only thing im not sure about is the grind maybe better with a convex but i've left it as is for now mostly because ive been keeping on top of the stropping and honing so it's not needed a full sharpening yet which is impressive in itself.

    Good all rounder

Nice knife, not sexy, just does it's job and gets on with it. Cpm3v for this money can't be sniffed at either. It's much thicker than the photos give it credit for. It's not too intimidating either ! Which is something I now look for. I don't think it has the shock and awe factor; if you are getting a knife out of your bag on a mountain side. The sheath is the only slight disappointment. It is ok and the extra clip does make sense when you are taking it on off often. The quality is ok too. No left hand option for the likes of me though. The handle is superb and I've yet to come across hot spots which I still get on more expensive knives. This is a working knife and gives no apologies for it.

    Let down by poor sheath.

Posted by Doc on 12th Jul 2019

The handle is amazing which leads to amazing control. Phenomenal steel which leads to ease of sharpening and good edge retention. G*h sheath which leads to single popper dropping knife to the floor and poor retention allowing knife to fall from sheath whilst stalking. If the sheath was better this would easily be a 5* but it is so poor it will fail you. The knife it's self is great, but it now! Just don't rely on the sheath.

Really versatile knife set off by gorgeous looks and the steel to match

Posted by Stu on 22nd Dec 2018

I've been waiting for this little beautiful knife to finally hit H&H shelves. I've only heard good things about this wonderful evocation of the quintessential Puukko from our Finnish friends in the Baltic's and I'm pleased they do not dissapoint. It's not a true Puukko but is a benchmade inspired interpretation of a classic do all knife that is at home carving and bush crafting as it is at hunting and dressing game. I've seen people cutting through nails and carving on a piece of steel with CPM 3V steel and why I certainly wouldn't entertain the idea of usuing my knife as tool steel I'm well aware of the partical metallurgy steels roots but then there is a tool for every job.......and the right job !!??!!
