UK-SFK / BLACK Review by SteelHeadSteve
I was lucky enough to pick-up the subdued version in HH's June sale, it was a great price ! Blade - 6". Handle - 4.5". Ricasso - just under 1". Stock - 6.6mm. Balance Point - in between the ricasso and the 1st scale bolt. The G10 handle scales are very grippy, just like Cold Steel. Also, it is designed to be held in the classic "Sabre" grip. Other grips don't work quite as well. Although it grip-shifts very well. Blackhawk puts serial numbers on these, just like Boker. It comes with a very nice, push button release scabbard. It has a drain port. It arrives with 2 large and 2 small mounting plates, and a pack of hardware. You get - 8 screws and receivers, and 4 thick rubber washers. This is a great model for orthodox stylists. (Posted on 17/06/2015)
Impressive.Review by Bert
Very solid tool. Thick D2, full tang handle with very grippy G10 scales, ideal for gloved hands.

Blade is a wider and flatter profile than traditional Fairbairn-Sykes, so delivers a paper-slicing, hair-popping edge.

Multi position sheath with blade lock for inverted carry.

I'd be interested to know if UK special forces actually use this knife. Seems ideal for the job anyway.

Very serious knife if a little pricey.

Tactile perfectionReview by Leigh Marsden
I have many knives, but this delivers a real sense of occasion when held in the hand. High quality construction, great balance and incredibly tactile. You will not want to put it down. Sheath is also very nice. Better than a Master Tanto? It's close for sure. (Posted on 04/03/2013)
MrReview by Daniel
When you first hold the blade you can feel immediately it's a serious tool designed for one purpose only. The D2 steel is very solid and gives a good weight to the blade. I'm a big fan of D2 now and Aus 8 feels lightweight and fragile in comparison to D2 which feels bombproof. I feel it is worth trying to describe the handle. The handle grip at first felt a bit uncomfortable, almost too grippy to the point where it feels it could cause blisters if you used it for extended periods of time. That said, it is not designed to be a utility knife so the user is unlikely to get blisters of course. It was designed to be used for 10 seconds or just enough to take out sentries etc. Now however I have got used to it and have found a grip that suits me. For the majority of people reading this, It is a great collectors piece however it is a genuinely practical blade designed for serious military use. (Posted on 21/02/2013)
This I like!Review by Richard Fowler
There's not much to say about this knife, awesome sums it up. I love the quality of construction and the simple but functional design, with these things in mind, it's obvious what its 'raison d'etre' is! The only thing that I could say is that although it has a good carrying system, an old fashioned virtical and horizontal wide belt loop, in my opinion, would of been nice. Had a long wait for the satin finish blade, but that was due to the suppliers in the states. As usual, the staff at HH kept me informed throughout and gave great service. If you're serious about collecting good quality CQB knives, then you really should get one, I love it! (Posted on 05/09/2012)
A great single purpose knifeReview by Mark b
And to avoid breaching UK law lets call that purpose "cheese cutting".
This is an excellent choice for cutting almost all types of cheese in a quiet manner without any fuss. It takes the classic Fairbairn Sykes pattern and combines it with a typical Brent Beshara handle and modern materials. A great collectible or tool for those who need to cut cheese as part of their job. (Posted on 28/02/2012)
