    Good project tool

Posted by Chris on 23rd Feb 2019

So, these things have a reputation as being project tools, which is fine. They only really need sharpening, burrs taken off the hole and some very minor handle work. That said... Mine came very solid on the handle. I stripped the paint off mine, which revealed the heat treat lines... About 1" of the cutting edge and point are hardened. Tool takes an edge, cuts really well and is really light. The good thing about these I think is that you can get extended handles and I suspect the heads are all identical in the hole... So you could carry a couple of heads and a couple of shafts and have incredibly versatile tools. Hawks aren't generally your best axe option... But let's face it, we're not building log cabins every weekend... And Their very cool! As for heinnie... As always, top notch service and delivery.

    Awesone DIY Hawks

Posted by Suicide Sean on 27th Aug 2018

Everyone of these more traditional tomahawks with the wooden handles in the cold steel line up use to be a bargain when they were prised at £25-£30! How the hell anywhere is is asking the prise tag for them nowadays is beyond me, let's be honest they were introduced to the market as a basic diy hawk at a reasonable prise with that in mind. IMO it's a joke that the cost has almost doubled for certain models (pipe hawk, spike hawk) within a few short years

    great knife and service

Posted by M Graham on 11th Dec 2015

First the axe: Lovely little thing which would make an excellent self* / zombie tool. Made with good quality materials nicely finished. Secondly the service: Ordered the item 1230hrs Wednesday and arrived in Scotland 1030am Thursday. Cannot get better service than that

    A classic

A very versatile bit of kit, it has so many applications if you've a mind to think of them. Good to have around camp, workshop or home. Yet again, first class service from all at HH.

    A Great Budget Hawk

Posted by Survivalkraft on 18th Feb 2013

This is a great Tomahawk! If you are looking for a hawk, re-enactments, or just as a wall-hanger, this hawk cannot be beat for the money. If you are willing to put a bit of time and effort into stripping the paint off the head, putting a patina on the bare metal, sharpening the bit to razor-exactness, and refinishing the handle, you can have not only a functional hawk, but one of beauty. I definitely recommend buying one. . .or two!
