Tough enough to do the job and light enough to be handy, Cold Steel’s Tuff-Lite folder is there when you need it.

It’s perfectly sized to slip into a pocket, clip to your waistband, or wear around your neck on a lanyard. With a wide, hollow ground 6.4cm blade, it’s sharp and can shear through the toughest materials with unexpected ease.

Due to its slant point, it offers precision cutting potential. It's bred for work and offers a surprisingly good grip due to its superbly engineered Griv-Ex handle that offers an enormous strength to weight ratio and features the state of the art Tri-Ad lock, which gives it astonishing muscle for its size.

Well made light and easy to disassemble and put back together again. Blade a bit short but otherwise perfect little knife.

    Not sure here

Posted by Martin Atton on 27th Jun 2020

Hi folks, over the years I have written and had published several reviews of knives I have purchased from you. Some days ago I submitted a review of this model knife, but it hasn't appeared. Have I written something inappropriate in the review? If so, I can soon write another one! Best wishes, Martin Atton.

    Small, but perfectly formed!

This sturdy little knife is crafted to a high standard of fit and finish. The properties of the mid grade AUS8 steel will only become apparent after sustained use. The lock up is superb: totally positive, with no play whatsoever. The ergonomics are very good indeed and the knife can be held comfortably in a vice like grip, to enable heavy duty cutting tasks to be carried out with ease. I feel the Tuff lite is redolent of a Stanley knife on steroids. The fairly aggressive appearance would make me think twice about taking it out for use, compared to say, a benign looking Victorinox soldier. A knife designed for a relatively limited range of specific functions. Cutting open cardboard boxes is the first thing that comes to mind. I am sure it will get plenty of use in spite of already having a vast knife collection here at home.

Jumping straight in as usual! I nearly lost the faith with this knife - ordered on Sunday and by 16.00 on Tuesday (today) it hadn't arrived. But of course, being HH, it was here by close of play. How do you do that? Anyway, what about the knife? In common with most of the on-line reviewers, I really like it. It weighs almost nothing, and arrived, if not shaving sharp, at least paper slicing sharp. Like most small knives in my collection I struggle to open it one handed, but I think that's just me. The lock up is incredible, with no play in any direction. If anything the Tri-Ad lock needs almost too much of a push to disengage it. And finally, for a small knife, the ergonomics are brilliant, allowing a proper four finger grip. I'm not a great fan of 'tip down' carry, but at least the clip is reversible and is not too savage. So, overall an excellent little 'box cutter' 'string cutter' or whatever. And although it costs more than your typical plastic St**ley knife, at under £40 I think it's pretty good value as well. Oh yes, I like the Olive Green scales too!

    Truly Utilitarian

I was bpred pof normal black handle knives so bough blue one as it looks friendlier. Working in warehouse this takes a daily battering (i cant use the saftey cutters, they dont work in real world) super strong yes I have pulled packing staples out with it, razor sharp havent sharpened yet and carboard is edge k*ller. no one batters and eye lid when i use this kniofe and they are struggleing with these bulky plastoc things. Cheers HH you make my day a more bearable place to be with tools like this, thank you.
