There are two side pockets for your favourite knife or folding saw and two bottomless pockets for an axe or other larger items. It's made from a body/contour forming material that isn't as rigid as canvas. It forms to your body well. The strap is also incredibly soft even when the bag is loaded. I'm fed up of taking a backpack off every time I need something.Even my knife which is always hidden away because sensible people can't carry certain knives in the UK without the risk of being victimised thanks to poor laws and idiots st***ing others. This bag either goes across the body or off a shoulder and is easily accessible from the top zip. Your gear is always at hand without removing the bag.
There's 2 outer pockets on each side of the bag. 1 a full pocket and the other a slip through for an hatchet etc.. To give an idea of pocket size a silky saw and a garberg in the plastic and leather sheath fit easily. I then secure things by the lanyard and a grimloc.
Inside is like a tardis. A Kelly kettle trekker steel fits lying down with room for other stuff but not with both elasticated pockets filled only a nalgene in one side. The elasticated pockets either side hold a stove, 1l nalgene or a stanley adventure pot. The inner mesh pocket is great for first aid, keys wallet etc.. There's room for drinks and foodstuff too.
Really highly recommended, very comfy bag that holds lots. (Posted on 15 October 2019)

I've owned several bags like this where the job is to carry travel paperwork and documents, water, keys, sunglasses and other stuff but needs to be really tough but comfortable to carry all day. This is the best one of it's kind.
It's very light, but incredibly strong. It has pockets and zips exactly in the right places. Access to the different areas is effortlessly fast and for travelling around I can't see anything beating it.
Grab one while you can. The Coyote is superb. (Posted on 5 June 2018)

Could do with having a water bottle holder on the outside though. It would be perfect then.
It's really well made and the full width zip works really well for opening it wide. Massive adjustment on the strap for cycling or walking and can be worn on both shoulders if you need.
It's a simple bit of kit in that it's not got pockets all over it so it does pack up really small. I'm impressed. (Posted on 15 November 2017)

My only reason for not giving five stars is that it is a little pricey. However, HH beat all the prices on ebay and delivery was free. (Posted on 9 March 2017)

The cordura is not to thick which keeps the weight down and makes the bag more flexible but still hard wearing.
On the ends of the bag are two pockets, one is a perfect size for a folding saw the other a bottomless pocket great for a small hatch.
Fitted on the bag are molle loops on the ends and bottom which you can fit the Helikon-Tex General Purpose Pouches to make the bag bigger if necessary.
