    John Nowill Yach Set

Posted by Jack on 20th Nov 2022

Based on a YouTube review 3-years ago, the knife seems to be very much the same unfortunately. Poorly chosen rosewood handles with gaps and cracks, meaning dirt / water ingress. An inconsistent blade sharpness and the sheath is rather mundane. I can't imagine these would allow it to serve its purpose for overly long. It is a nice looking knife but the shackle spike is the highlight of the set.

    Great Knife

Posted by Mike on 19th Nov 2009

My father has had this knife for at least the last 30 years, so I purchesed my own recently. Good strong knife for any rigging duties, and the marlinespike comes in quite handy. The sheath quility has dropped from the past editions, but still a classic set at an unbeatable price.
