I can assure you that these products are utterly robust, unbelievably strong (almost over engineered for what they are) and are therefore value for money. (Of course we’d all be pleased if they were much cheaper). But when you consider that these will (for 99% of the population) last a life time, you have to reappraise the costs. The quality of the fabric, the zips, and webbing makes these items well worth having as part of your kit.

Its not too large that it becomes bulky.
Fits everything in from my edc kit perfectly, with excess space for something else ive spotted on the HH site, in the day or so it took to arrive!

I have had the Fatty for a few months now and has proved to be very tough and and look as new as when I bought it. The contents have also evolved and been added to and you would be surprised how much it can carry with ease.
An excellent organiser, great value for money. (Posted on 9 August 2014)

As usual with Maxpedition the build quality is top notch and I know it's not going to fall to bits in a hurry!
Just a note on Maxpedition:
I read a post on an American forum about a guy who raved about Maxpedition being the best outdoor luggage on the market until he found out it was made in taiwan and now says it's crap!
Please take no notice of where Maxpedition gear is manufactured because it is still made to exacting quality standards and is still some of the best outdoor luggage you can buy! (Posted on 9 May 2014)

- Maxp Black FattyReview by Chris
- Just bought one of these to replace my similar no brand type of organiser that has done me proud the past 10 years or so. It was difficult to judge the size from Youtube videos and trying to visualize the dimensions. I started off looking at the EDC but I wasn't sure I would fit my BCB mini mess tin kit inside so I went for the beefy, it was a squeeze but it's in there nicely along with everything else I needed to get in. Very impressed with how much this thing just swallows! Half tempted to drop a star on the rating because all that excess space is gonna cost me more cash buying bits to fill her up haha. Ordered on the Saturday night, arrived by Tuesday morning, as usual Heinnie your service is outstanding. (Posted on 26 November 2013)

Next has got to be the beefy but I'll run out of pockets and need a belt and braces to hold my trousers up!
Heinnie Haynes usual standard of service - Outstanding.
I even added a 100ft hank of paracord to take the total over ú30 to get free shipping. (Posted on 12 July 2013)

I'm using it as an organiser in my EDC bag, chock full of repair and utility gear, as well as a basic first aid kit and survival items.
If you get one of these, your problem won't be finding space to fit what you want. It'll be the weight of all the things you included 'just in case'.
Fantastic service as usual. Can't ask for more. (Posted on 26 November 2012)

Inside are 16 elasticated retaining bands of variable size, allowing you to secure flashlights, knives, pens, batteries, sample bottles etc. Two larger pockets, one zipped allow storage of bigger items; mobile phone, solar charger, usb leads, ipod nano, magnifying glass, small mirror, tape measure, roll of tape & mini DAB radio.
Outside webbing pocket allows for further storage, ie small change, post-it note block. The rear has a further six small non-elasticated retainer bands for clip-on items, I stuff a hankerchief into them. A 5cm x 3cm patch of velcro is stitched onto the front panel for reciprocal small velcro ties to be adhered to. I wrap my head-phone leads to this patch. Honestly I defy you not to find a use for this pocket fatty! (Posted on 1 January 2012)
