1000 lumens in a 6.7cm flashlight is an impressive statistic. What's just as impressive is the build quality and the 90 minute charge via a micro USB port. It features three Cree XP-G2 LEDs, the latest in lighting technology and the purest of beams.

An excellent little torch, compact but bright enough for walking at night. LEDs are cool but not too blue to spoil colours and the beam is a nice flood with a large hot spot. Clip is sturdy and also helps your fingers find the control switch if you are wearing gloves , which is very handy. I like the recharging system, no fiddly bits of plastic to fall off. UI is my least favorite part but that is personal taste . Overall I am very happy with this torch.

Hi-tech head, simple UI, old fashioned shape, CR123A compatible.

It's tiny but weighty. There's lots it doesn't have: no charging cable, no last-use memory, no holster, no clip, but I love it. It's very tactile. It looks and feels well made. Output and run times are 5/20hrs, 100/4hrs, 420/1hr, 1000/35mins. It switches out of turbo to 70% output after 3 minutes. Recharge time is said to be 90mins. It's very much a floodlight with a large hot spot. The button to operate it is small but easy to see and to feel for. It's on a flat, slightly recessed, opposite another flat so it won't roll. Press and hold gives instant turbo as long as the button's held. One press for On in low mode then holding it on allows it to cycle through medium, high, turbo, low. Strobe is accessed by 3 fast clicks on the button from off. SOS is accessed by holding down the button once in strobe mode. The 16350 battery is a loose fit in the body by about 2 mm across the diameter. However with the tailcap tight it doesn't rattle. A CR123A can be used it says. Lock-out is by loosening the head or tail. There's two O-rings on the tail, one on the head. Unscrew the tail to remove the protective disc before first use. It came fully charged. Not sure the front glass is actually glass. I hope it's scratch proof. Time will tell. Too heavy for my keyring but easy to find in a pocket or bag. Superfast delivery from HH as ever.
