Nice penlight, bit too bright for pupils

Posted by Rook on 6th Mar 2019

The good: excellent colour rendition, which is mostly what I bought it for. Nice and bright when turned up, making it useful for a range of tasks. The bad: clip is a bit weak, though as it goes in my trouser pocket it'll stay put until I start doing handstands. Low power mode is a bit too bright; purpose made medical penlights for checking pupils have a lower output. I'd like a future revision of this light to tone down the low end a bit! Also note that HH is shipping the latest version of this torch that has a pupil diameter diagram down the side, not just the model name as shown in the product photos. If you visit nitecore's own website you'll see what you'll get.

    Very handy size

Posted by Dan on 6th Oct 2017

I've had this light for a week with intention for EDC and walking the dog in the dark to which it performs perfectly giving more than plenty of light on the highest setting, the size is very handy as you hardly notice it is there. But that is where the problem lies, along with the pocket clip witch is no use at all, I I have now lost it in a large field during a midday walk. The clip is pointless on this torch as it doesn't grip at all. Overall a very good little light with one of the worst pocket clips I've come acrooss.

    Best I have seen

Posted by Carl on 14th Jul 2017

The best eye light I have come across, its really well thought out coming on low mode all the time and clicking up to see the rest of the ward. Colour rendition is superb and it weighs nothing, well done Nitecore and top marks to HH as always
