  1. Super Budget KnifeReview by
It's less than a tenner and if you're like me and just use it for some everyday carry tasks then you can't go wrong. Nice and sharp, folds easily and looks far more expensive than it is.

For the price, you'll be well pleased.

As usual with Heinnie Haynes, delivery was quick, packaged nicely and they always respond to emails if you have any questions.

A lorra knife for a lil money I like this one better than some dear one's centering is spot on razor sharp otb, satisfying click when it flys out the handle. And delivery was fast as usual. (Posted on )
  3. Excellent Review by
Got this today, super fast delivery as usual, and I’m more than impressed. Razor sharp, smooth opening, good blade and nicely machined G10. It’s up there with my Spyderco. (Posted on )
  4. Don't hesitate, just buy it.Review by
Excellent knife. Looks good, feels good and sharp straight out of the box. Best budget knife on the market. (Posted on )
  5. Amazing value for moneyReview by
I work in an industrial unit and have a requirement for a knife most days. Opening boxes, cutting through shrink wrapping, slicing high density foam have all been on the agenda today for instance. Yesterday also included whittling down some plywood and scoring plastic and this knife seems to handle it all.
I've got relatively large hands and this is great to use as an everyday work tool. For such a low price (under a tenner!), it's very well made and has a good weight to it which I was genuinely surprised about when I opened it. I wasn't expecting much and have been very pleased.
I'd easily recommend this to others for both quality and price. Bargain.

Great service from Heinnie Haynes as well - icing on the cake!

  6. Fantastic knife!Review by
This is my second review of this knife - my first wasn't published .. probably too lengthy!
I just wanted to say, I'm 65 yrs old, and have very small hands, yet I have no trouble opening and closing the knife with one hand, that being my right hand - can't open it with the left!.
To open: just grip the knife with your 2nd, 3rd, and 4th finger, and then using your first finger and thumb push against the dual thumb studs. There'll be a slight resistant click and then the blade will open easily.
To close: Again, grip the knife with your 2nd,3rd and 4th fingers leaving the first finger free.Push hard with your thumb against the liner lock, 'til you hear a slight click and it moves. Then, keeping the pressure on with your thumb, close the blade with your first finger. This is where the blunt bit at the end of the blade that some have complained about comes in as a safety feature, as it sometimes hits the thumb as one closes the knife. Were it sharp, like the rest of the blade, then you would certainly cut your thumb!
Regarding the knife itself, my friend Paul has said it all in the first of the reviews - no need to add anything - just buy one, you won't be disappointed!

Just buy one and see for yourself

  8. First ClassReview by
A colleague purchased one of these and was so taken by it I decided to get one as well. Well constructed and designed. A little difficult to open and close but that's no bad thing. Really great value for money…highly recommended (Posted on )
  9. Buy it - you wont regret itReview by
Really cant believe how much knife you get for your money with this Schrade.
Definitely worth the money, nice weight, strong blade, and good locking mechanism.
That's my only gripe, it's easy to open with one hand and has a satisfying click and is solidly locked - a bit too solidly, as I cant then unlock with one hand.
For the money ( and I'd be happy paying a lot more for this knife), it's brilliant.

  10. A truly practical knife.Review by
I bought two of these. Now I'm one of the fanatics that like my blade shaving sharp. And that was easily achieved.
The entire build quality is stunning , solid ,but not heavy, I've used knives costing 10 times more, in the African bush , and this knife could easily complete..

  11. two handed openingReview by
Some people have stated that this knife is a little stiff to open, my copy is all but impossible to open with one hand, I am a manuel worker, I have strong hands, & no matter how hard I try, it requires me to first pull the blade with my left hand, & with a click it releases, I can then fl*ck it to full open, but lets put this in perspective, the knife is only £8.95, so whats to complain about really, other than this small annoyance, it is a good knife, mine was not shaving sharp out of the blister pack (no box), but that can be easily fixed, it could possibly wear in, but that will take a long time, instead I will take the knife apart, & carefully remove some steel from the offending area. Glad I was too!
Delivery and service excellent as usual.
Bought as a delivery make weight!
I cannot really fault this knife at all , very sharp OTB no wobbly blade.
    Looks great.Locks securely.
For £8.95 the finish is exceptional.

Mine is quite stiff to open ( not a problem) comfortable in my medium sized hand. Much bigger knife than I realised. Only light use at home ( not a taker out)so far but has worked well!

  14. Fantastic valueReview by
£8.95 for a knife of this quality is beyond belief, even at £14.95, it's still a bargain. Shaves hairs of your arm right out the packaging. Perfect little workhorse.can't beat it at that price.

Thank you to Heinnie Haynes for the brilliant delivery service again!!

rang my order into richard it arrived yesterday, what a bargain well constructed and sharp running on brass washers this is my best deal of 2019, buy one before they sell out fantastic service from HH. (Posted on )
  16. A great budget choice. Recommended (with one proviso)Review by
I really like this knife and at well under a tenner it is a steal.

The only issue is the sharpening choil, or lack of. The blade edge runs directly into a widening section before it reaches the small choil shown in the sales pictures. This makes sharpening the full blade length a real pain.

30 careful seconds with my bench grinder solved the issue. Had this not been necessary the knife would be 5 stars all the way.

  17. Great valueReview by
Absolute amazing price for a good knife! The fit and finish is perfect, looked hard but can't find anything to fault!
The ball bearings make the opening action really smooth and fli*ks forward almost like and as***ted blade.
The liner lock engages firmly with a satisfying click and is easy to open and close one handed.
Blade holds a nice edge, though I'm not a fan of the Base of the blade flattening out at the last half inch.
Pocket clip is not changeable to tip up or other side, but does not bother me too much as I tend to carry within the pocket.

For £9 it's a steal, they could easily charge £30 for this and get away with it!

Written after 1 1/2 months of daily usage at work.

  18. Great quality Review by
This is the second schrade folder I've bought on offer from H.H, I have bought fixed blade schrade knives from other retailers but I should have a look at the offer from H.H more often. Great blade, solid hard working bit of steel, razor sharp out of the packaging, needs a bit of folding and unfolding cos the pivot is quite stiff but that is pretty much my only negative note to this blade. Very happy with the price and very happy with the product, its had three days testing, working hard and getting beaten up and there's hardly a mark. Well worth eleven quid (actually worth more so its a steal, even at the regular price never mind on special!). (Posted on )
  19. Great Value Great knifeReview by
I decided to buy a new knife to take on fishing trips,. Thanks to Glyn for putting me off from buying the Schrade 221. I have just bought two of these 305 and both are in perfect condition with no faults. I like Schrade as a make ,I bought my first one years ago when they were made in the USA.. This 305 is a fine knife that fills the hand, the lock is solid, I have just learnt to use my thumb nail to push the lock in as having three new knives with repeated testing my thumb is getting tender, with normal use it is no problem. I also bought a Kershaw Barge, nearly twice the price, looks like it could be from the same factory, another very nice knife. Thanks to HH for bringing us a good choice of knives for less then £20. Why pay more. (Posted on )
  20. Feels very solidReview by
Has a nice weight to it, comfortable to hold and sturdy build quality. Feels solid when blades locked and extended. Cannot complain for the reduced price of £8.95. Box also says "lifetime warranty" so that's always reassuring. Mine is feeling slightly stiff to open but in time I'm sure it'll wear in over time. Overall impressed with Schrade as this is the first knife I've bought from them. May not be the last!

Also wanted to mention the speedy delivery and e-mail communication was fast, precise and on point. Will definitely be using this website again.

  21. Excellent Knife Buy a FewReview by
This is my first Schrade folder and i totally love it.

I find metal handle knives cold to the touch, But this one has G10 inlayed into the steel and how this is done so accurately is amazing.

The blade fl*cks out smooth as silk and the blade was hair cutting sharp out of the box, 9cr18mov is approximately the same as 440B.

Well worth the price, Buy one or several.

  22. This is a sturdy piece of kitReview by
This is a big old folder, and excellent value for money. I’m really impressed; the quality is great for the money.

It’s super sharp out of the package, and it really looks the business. One-handed opening isn’t the easiest straight off the bat, but it is very smooth, and has a lovely snickety action. One engaged, the blade feels really very solid, and I wouldn’t have any worries about using this with a striking steel.

Excellent work, Schrade, and excellent work HH! Thank you!

  23. Nice large folderReview by
Quite a nice folder for the price, with it's flat grind making it a good slicer and higher than average steel. 9Cr18Mov
The bearings help this open as fast as any spring loaded knife with minimal effort.
The Liner lock is a little too strong but I hope that will wear in nicely.
When folded the blade spine is good enough to use as a striker.
Strangely the edge isn't sharp at the first 1cm as it thickens there but it's fixable if needed.
The 9.8cm blade is great if you want something a little larger.
