I'm an old school carpenter and have seen these diamond sharpeners for years but never bought one because of the cost. At this price I decided to give one a go for when I go on kayak/camping trips as it is small. I also bought the Kershaw 10 knife. Works perfectly, that's all I can say. It's tapered at one end with a groove for sharpening fishhooks. So it can sharpen those little serrations you get on some knives, it also has a flat side too. All in all it is a well thought out tool about the size of a bic pen which telescopes out of the handle and locks in place with a lock ring.
