Trayvax Wallets at Heinnie Haynes®. Durable wallets and outdoor gear that prepare you for every day and every adventure. Always made in the USA, available here in the UK.

Well, this one took us a little while to work out, here at Heinnie® HQ. This little wallet is made of simple components – all there is to it is are two pieces of stainless steel and a couple of sections of webbing; but it’s ingenious in its construction, and you’ll have great fund demonstrating this to your friends. The wallet is a simple bi-fold, pivoting on the paracord at the base, and held closed with the narrower MIL-SPEC webbing via the eyelet. The wider section of webbing can be adjusted to accommodate the number of bank cards that you need in your life – from a single skinny card, to a chunky 14, to really bulk out this wallet to its full potential. The webbing loop on the rear doubles as a money clip, allowing you to carry your notes securely.

Trayvax tell us that the two sheets of steel act as an effective RFID shield. The wider webbing section has a slim stitched pocket in the “loose” end – we find that it’ll hold about a fiver’s worth of pound coins, or a couple of loose keys, a handy little feature.

The Trayvax Axis is sourced and made in the USA. Every Trayvax product comes with a 65-Year Heirloom Warranty, and covered by US Patent D794,328 and D808,158. Trayvax test all of their products for 65 years of durability and stand behind the quality of their gear. Trayvax gear is made to be passed down through the generations.

Available in a choice of either Silver Tumbled Stainless Steel, or with a very tough Olive Drab Green Cerakote finish, a premium coating giving amazing abrasion resistance, and looking super cool.

best front pocket wallet for my money.See what I did?

Posted by David on 10th Jul 2020

Im not sure how long Ive had this wallet now but I love it, now and again I switch it out for one of my others but its not long before I go back to this. I hear some complains regarding key falling out and using cards at readers and other cards being read while in the wallet. As far as I can see these are all self inflicted. The key cannot fall out when the wallet is closed and remains upright when removing cards. As for reading cards while left in the wallet, of course it might read another card........ Great, quality product, well thought out and looking forward to buying the updated one when the cord goes on my current one. Keep up the good work Trayvax.

    Cool but.....

Posted by AJinEssex on 17th Feb 2020

I used to use one of those trifold surfer type nylon wallets. This had a number of slots for credit cards, a couple of larger sections for notes, a plastic window for holding an ID and a zipped pocket at the back for coins. This was slowly becoming a brick so I was attracted to the slim cool look of the Trayvax. When you get this there is a bit of faffing about with the webbing to accommodate the number of cards you want to carry. If you change the number you have to adjust it all over again which is a pain. Once you have taken one card out the rest fall out easily. The small pouch created by the stitching in the end of the webbing is useless as pound coins or a key will just fall out, so you have to carry a separate pouch for coins. It's a pain folding polymer notes and trying to get them neatly in the clip on the back. This is not something you want to be taking time over standing by a cash machine or after a few jars. This does not provide effective RFID blocking. I found I could hold it next to the contactless reader at the supermarket and it takes payment easily (worryingly rather than from the card on the top by the window it took payment from the credit card right in the middle). So this leaves us with a fiddly awkward carrying system that is most likely to result in your cards and cash on the floor. It still looks cool but to be honest I was better off with my nylon wallet.

    Very good but V2 needed

Posted by Martain on 14th Sep 2018

I've used this a while now to give a good balanced review. It does hold the cards you carry very well once adjusted. That is until you take one out. You'll soon learn to close it or hold it in a particular way so the rest don't fall out onto the floor. If you keep a fluctuating amount of notes, you will find yourself adjusting it a lot. You can only really adjust it tighter if you take the notes out first. The carabiner holes are pointless; other than if you push them towards each other the clasp is easier to get off the little metal catch. It hasn't opened by itself and sits nicely in the pocket, even with the lanyard protusions. Trayvax on V2 need to ditch the lanyard metal and make the final paracord holes teardrop shape so that they retain the cord better once adjusted. Looking forward to the new £20 notes as current ones are just squeezing in. Trifold your notes if you want to keep them extra secure.

    Cool factor!

This bit of kit does work after a bit of fiddling, worth noting all US bills are the same size, alas not UK notes, also the new polymer notes are a pig to fold. £50's are a bit big for this, even £20s are snug. Keep larger notes at the back of your credit cards it means not so many cards but more secure. Definitely a cool factor about this.
