Reviews

  1. Very good but not perfectReview by

I've had a Workchamp for a few years now, and it's been used regularly with generally good results. It's well-made and very versatile. While I feel the review above by Ian is a bit harsh, he does make a good point about the locking mechanism of some of the tools. Not the main blade of course, which has a solid slide-button lock. However, some of the springs on the other tools e.g. the main flat screwdriver and can opener, are weak compared to some other Vic SAKs I've used. This means the screwdriver often closes on you in use, which isn't great. I have an Alox Farmer knife with a much stronger spring on the screwdriver, for instance.
Overall it's a great tool but could have been much better with stronger springs.

For a Victorinox knife poor quality plastic grips also the locking mechanism on each blade and tool is not very secure.
    All in all very poor.

  3. A Fully Functioning Tool Kit.Review by

The knife may appear too large; but when you come to use it you realize it's the perfect size. It isn't a penknife with a few odds and sods added, it's a fully functioning tool kit. It is truly wonderful. (Posted on )
  4. A champion at workReview by

This is my EDC but then my everyday work is in private forestry, so the usual rules don't apply. I have used it for everything from digging out splinters and opening my lunch to fixes on the Landrover, chainsaw and guns and much more besides. It sees use every day and has never let me down. I've tried all the multitools but always come back to this, and I've got a spare in the drawer at home jic my EDC goes missing. I wouldn't willingly be without it. Superb bit of kit! (Posted on )
  5. Big but usefulReview by

This knife oozes quality. It is also huge! Maybe too bulky for most everyday pockets but still comfortable in hand to use, unlike some Swiss Army Knives.

The range of tools is spot on - all the practical ones and none of the silly ones, and the lock blade elevates this above many other SAKs. I value my Workchamp, but just not as everyday carry.
