It was 1915 when Heinrich Boker & Co. Solingen received the government order to develop a compact knife that would be especially useful for trench warfare. After 90 years, Boker are reproducing the original knife blade out of high carbon steel. Perhaps the closest to the original trench knife this one features a wooden handle and is marked with Bokers official tang stamp. On the back of the blade, each knife shows its own unique serial number. It is supplied with a leather and stainless sheath.

    Boker Grabendolch fixed blade

Posted by Gary Ralph on 14th May 2025

Boker Grabendolch. I bought this as an early birthday gift to myself. This is simply a work of historic art. Beauty and practicality. The fit and finish and look of this piece are stunning. Amazing what can be produced from a chunk of metal, some wood and some leather. Stunning!! The blade(Sharp!) and finger guard. It's handle and the sheath. Impressive craftsman/workmanship. I loves it!! I'm over the moon with this one. I have some stunning pieces, thanks to Heinnie Haynes and their sales assistance and care. Excellent! This Grabendolch is awesome. It's something else!

    Böker Grabendolch

Having read the other two reviews i thought it a wise precaution to phone HH and ask regarding the finish of the Grabendolch they had in stock before ordering one. I’m exceedingly happy with what arrived at my door. The handle as confirmed by HH is perfectly finished and the stamping of the logo whilst not as deeply inset as the serial number on the opposite side it is clearly visible throughout and without the need of my glasses

    Expected more.

Really expected better fit & finish on this knife for the money. The handle isn't very well done & the engraving on the boker brand name is that shallow at points it is barely visible. I kept the knife because it isn't terrible but I probably wouldn't recommend buying one. It's a shame really because it could have been a really nice piece if there had just been a little more attention to detail at the factory.

    Cool knife

Feels great in the hand, looks good and looks like it would last a lifetime. The sheath is not great I'm not going to lie. The metal tip came off mine but I roughed up the leather and reglued it and it seems okay now. I also cut off the belt loop and sewed the casp on so it goes around the base of the handle. It's a little expensive for what it is but I think it's worth it especially if you like your history.
