Boker Plus added a larger variation of the compact first knife that offers all the benefits of the original model but transposes them into a somewhat more grown-up format. The fuller handle with a full tang can accommodate bigger hands with excellent ergonomic features, while the rubber element offers a secure grip. The colour makes it easy to find on the ground in the forest or in a meadow; the satinized blade of 12C27 gives the Boker Plus Outdoorsman XL a classy look. The reworked nylon sheath makes it safe and comfortable to carry. A true outdoor all-rounder.

The Boker Plus Outdoor Xl is very good value. It arrived shaving sharp. It feels great in hand and has good fit and finish. At this price point 12c27 is a good steel, tough, stainless and easy to sharpen. A good test is - if I lost it would I buy another? The answer is yes. As usual, excellent service from Heinnie Haynes.

First off just want to say great service from HH. I only ordered this knife yesterday afternoon and it was delivered by standard free delivery in less than 24hrs. Absolutely brilliant service. I'll write a proper review in the near future when I get the chance to use my new knife but first impressions are good. The Outdoorsman XL is a nice size, it's a relatively slim knife and feels nice and balanced in my hand. It doesn't feel too sharp out of the box but as I said, I haven't used it yet, but I'll give it a few strokes on my stone before I do. I really like the rubberised handle, it's nice and grippy and it wont slip even with wet hands. I suppose the bright colour will grow on me, but then again you can't see the colour of it when it's in your hand. The sheath is nylon and feels well made but I will make myself a nice leather one at some time in the future. First impressions are that I'm going to enjoy my new knife.
