The Spyderco Manix 2 Dark Blue S110V is part of the excellent Spyderco Manix 2 range. It combines all of the proven features of the standard version with a blade ground from state-of-the-art CPM S110V powder metallurgy stainless steel. Boasting an impressive 2.8% carbon and high amounts of vanadium and niobium, CPM S110V is specially formulated for exceptional wear resistance and enhanced corrosion resistance-key qualities in a high-performance blade steel.

The leaf-shaped profile of the Spyderco Manix 2's blade provides a long, gently curved cutting edge and a sturdy, utilitarian point. For maximum control, it features a forefinger choil and a thumb ramp with strategic jimping (textured grooves) that allow a forward-positioned grip during detailed cutting tasks. The 14mm Trademark Round Hole proudly announces the knife's Spyderco pedigree and makes one-handed deployment with either hand swift and positive.

Built on a framework of full skeletonized stainless steel liners, the Spyderco Manix 2's handle is capped with textured blue/purple G10 scales that are the signature color of Spyderco's elite family of CPM S110V knives. To ensure convenient carry and instant access, the handle includes a reversible spring steel clip that mounts to either side of the handle butt for ambidextrous tip-up carry. It also features an oversized lined lanyard hole for easy attachment of fobs and lanyards.

Linking the blade and handle is Spyderco's patented Ball Bearing Lock mechanism. This high-strength lock consists of a ball bearing nested within a durable textured polymer "cage." When the blade is opened, a compression spring drives the cage forward to wedge the ball bearing between a ramp on the blade tang and the steel frame anchored between the handle halves. Drawing the caged ball bearing to the rear releases the lock and allows the blade to close smoothly while keeping your fingers safely away from the sharp edge.

    Manix 2 CPM S110V

Posted by Jason on 25th Oct 2023

As always debating to purchase a manix 2, upon arrival, I could tell straight away how well built and robust this knife is. I'm glad got the more expensive version as I really really love it and is potentially my favourite spyderco. Thumbs up.....

Superlative in every sense of the word. Ergonomics are spot on, blade steel is S110V, nice G10 scales - not 'Blurple', according to 'Methuen Handbook of Colour' it's dark blue, nowhere near Purple. No 'flicking' open and closed with this, the S110V deserves respect (as does any blade steel), I'm convinced the stuff seen on you tube could cause cracking not visible to the naked eye but detectable with crack detection systems. The area the kick on the blade contacts on closing is the extended top of the spring locking cage assembly 'slot' and is only a couple of millimetres thick, the kick contacting near the end of same, open and close sensibly, see Manix strip vids on You Tube. Buy this knife, in my opinion - perfect ! !.

The best EDC knife in the world ! Bar none !

I've had my new spyderco dark blue for while now and have used it for almost every task I've come across . It's such a fantastic all round knife and it's looks are gorgeous and ive had many complements about it. In terms of cutting power and longevity for edge holding are astounding and I've not come across any knife yet that can match its edge retention capabilities blow for blow. I have got the new Manix 2 in Maxamet on order which is a super steel but it's not a stainless steel so one would expect it to be tougher than stainless steel but this CPM S110v steel could easily be on par with hardened carbon steel and in all respects probably beat it. In terms of sharpening it does fight back and wants to cost you more sanding belts and if you don't know how to sharpen knives properly then it's time you got your self a Work Sharp Ken Onion Edition knife sharpener - I used this to sharpen my knife and all tho it took a little longer to sharpen it took a great edge and then I finished it off on a leather strop and it's now razor sharp and miles sharper than factory sharpned and it holds it considerably longer than most knives. This is a top quality knife and is worth the price it's construction materials and quality craftsmanship are second to none and it will last a lifetime if looked after properly and it will be your favourite knife as it is for me. I defiantly recommend purchasing this . 100% satisfaction guaranteed !!!
